OFFSHORE OIL RECOVERY VESSEL ( OSRV )

Mavi Deniz is a market leader / world's largest producer in the design and manufacture of multipurpose offshore oil recovery vessels. Mavi Deniz developed the unique Sea Barracuda, a multipurpose offshore oil spill response vessel.

Multi - purpose offshore oil spill response vessels (OSRV) can be supplied already fitted with all the equipment necessary to implement effective and quick oil clean-up operations at offshore.

The versatile OSRV can fitted with various types of response equipment so that it can be utilized in many different application including boom deployment, fire fighting, anchor/buoy handling, towing, general work boat duties, monitoring, dispersant spraying, oil recovery, oily waste storage and disposal of macro-pollutants from the offshore sea areas.

Sea Barracuda ; The offshore type oil spill response vessel OSRV collect oils automatically from the sea with its rigid sweeping arms systems up to 5 sea state conditions. This uniquely designed, purpose built offshore oil spill recovery vessel, is the only vessel capable of recovering oils from light diesel through to highly viscous crudes (1,000,000 Cst).

Oil Recovery Rate ; 150 tons/hour - 200 tons/hour - 300 tons/hour.
Dispersant spray system is fitted for applying the chemical dispersion agent through articulated arms mounted on both sides.
OSD (Oil Spill Detection) System for detect/track oil spills on the water.
Thermal Oil Heating System is fitted on the vessel for heating the tanks.
The vessel is double hull and double bottom.
An optional boom reel can be used to store and deploy a variety of different sized booms or Fi-Fi 1 monitors for fire fighting and stern A- Frame Crane for buoy handling operations or towing winch for anchor handling duties.

The Oil Spill Detection (OSD) System’s main objectives are to detect oil spill on the sea surface and to track the oil spill over time. The system provides help both for those supervising oil fields and those in charge of cleanup operations. The OSD system may operate in complete darkness or fog, 24 hours a day, thus enabling recovery and skimming operations when the visibility is poor. Ability to detect oil spill of at least 100 litres in wind conditions and sea states corresponding to Beaufort’s scale 2-6.

Sea Barracuda has been specifically conceived to operate in open-seas or offshore activities. OSRV has excellent sea going qualities, which allow the vessel to reach the same high level of performance in open waters. Two avoid oil spots on the sea surface being disturbed by swell and wake from the vessel, extra care has been taken in designing a smooth sailing hull.
